Mmm candy!
We are planning on a candy buffet in lieu of favors. I am not sure if we will go with the color theme though, but I like the way it looks. I have been struggling with how much candy to buy though, so thanks for the suggestion!
A few more tips:
- Don’t over look the classified boards of some of the popular wedding sites to buy your containers and jars to house the candy in. We scored a GREAT deal by buying off a bride whose wedding had passed. We got a total of 22 jars of varying styles, shapes and sizes as well as the scoops, tongs, etc for $100!
- Sometimes it’s good to have a variety of wrapped candies in case you have a got of guests that get grossed out by unwrapped candies in bulk available to the “public”.
- Don’t forget the sugar free candies for those with restrictive diets!
Those are some wonderful ideas Shaily! When I was planning my wedding, I had a lot of luck buying and selling my surplus merchandise on The Knot forums. So great tip there!
